This workshop is designed to help newly admitted MBA students with high-intermediate to advanced knowledge of English to improve their speaking and writing communication skills so that they may better adapt to and thrive in the English-language university-level MBA courses at HEC Montréal.
The workshop makes use of the standard American English vocabulary and structure with emphasis on Business English.
In class, the communicative approach will be used. Simulated situations reflect the context of an MBA student's daily activities: information exchange, discussions, communication with classmates and instructors and participation in oral and writing group work assignments. Oral and writing techniques to improve working well with others will be learned and practiced.
